This series started as photo collage using reversed images and multiple patternings. many took a kimono shape,thus these are alternately called the kimono series. The plastic fantastic are experimental work, sandwiching bites of current life between archival plastic. In fifty years, will clothes pegs still be around? Ask a 20 year old about typewriter ribbon or erasing tape. Even the typewriter has gone the way of the dodo. Speaking of plastic, there is a series herein that are self portraits - as a consumer, as a medical guinea pig, symbolized by the identification gizmos we need to survive in society - like credit cards, or id bracelets, or bingo cards. The clouds were not moving across the sky, as they might with a wind skirting behind them. Yet the clouds were transforming - dissolving and reforming into uniquely different shapes and sequences. Eventurally the sky was cloudless. Evening settled on the lake in deeper and deeper blues.
